Hello fellow food lovers! I’m Mary, and I’m here to bring you some really excellent baked goods. Some are family recipes, some are my own, and some are recipes I really think you should know about.
I am a self-taught cook/baker. I not only remember cooking with my parents and grandparents, but also was lucky enough to learn from great-grandparents. Cooking runs four generations deep in my veins. Sandwiched between my Grandma Edwards’ best red velvet cake ever, and my Grandma Bohnert’s molasses cookies, that I swear you can’t eat enough of, the creation of food, nay, really good food, has become a passion.
I’m a grad from the University of Kansas (Rock Chalk), with degrees in Spanish and journalism (I swear I could’ve majored in cookies and pasta). I currently live in the suburbs of Kansas City.
Outside of the kitchen, you can find me fawning over adorable animals especially my cat Boca and my pup Elaine, chasing after my toddler, Iris, cheering for Kansas City sports teams, hanging with my dear husband or planning my next travel adventure to far off lands.
